The Town Hall used to host regular children’s discos, but we wanted everyone to be able to join in the fun - hence a disco for the young of all ages

Volunteers from the Makery organised the sound system, DJs, décor, dressing-up clothes and face-painting.  Food and refreshments were organised by the Lionesses of the Valley, which is a women’s group, and a few organised dances were led by a dance-trained member of the steering group.

The event was fully booked, and was a huge success. People loved that it enabled truly inter-generational socialising, and a common refrain as people left was “when is the next one?”
